Kids Movie Review, Pirate's Who Don't Do AnythingPlot Summary (courtesy of IMDB):

Three lazy misfits - very timid Elliot (Larry the Cucumber), lazy Sedgewick (Mr. Lunt) and no self-confident George (Pa Grape) - dream of the day of putting on a show about pirates. With their own problems of might not having this dream come true, they soon find themselves traveling back in time into the 17th century and begin a quest to rescue a royal family from an evil tyrant, and learn about being pirates.

Run Time: 85 Minutes

Movie Review:

Any fan of Veggie Tales will be quite happy with this feature film. This has everything that parents look for when they want a good movie for their kids, while still being able to enjoy it themselves. There are well placed jokes that adults only would understand (such as "Like sands through the hour glass, so are the last few minutes of our lives.") as well as the gags that get kids laughing and excited.

As an old Veggie Tales watcher I was disappointed to find that the character Bob the Tomato was not in this movie, as well as the fact that the theme song was never sung (although the score had it in the background). I was, however, happy that there was not a direct Christian only message and rather a life lesson instead.

The graphics are very well done and are a much higher quality than people are used to from the video's in the past. There was definitely a lot more detail put into this movie and it really showed. They were really creative with the addition of the cheese curl characters and the rock monsters.
